Hunger Games Movie Updates!

Woo so much exciting news!  Shooting is planned to begin on MONDAY at the set's location in Hildebran, NC!!  This picture has also been released - I think it is Katniss's house!



Here is a cute picture of Jennifer Lawrence (AKA KATNISS) posing before her interview on the David Letterman show.



Portia and Octavia have also been cast!  These were the loud and excited stylers for Peeta and Katniss.  Latarsha Rose will play Portia and Brooke Bundy will play Octavia, a member of Katniss's team of stylers.  Still to be cast is Cinna- who I adore!  This is a huge role to fill and I can't wait to see who they get!

Boneshaker by Cherie Priest

Boneshaker derives its title from the Bone-Shaking Drill Engine, a device designed to give Russian prospectors a leg up in the race for Klondike gold. My Review:

Eh. I wasn't crazy about this book, and honestly, I couldn't even finish it. I thought it was really slow and kinda confusing regarding the family tree. I gave it two stars for the interesting plot line and the potential to be a really good book. However, the promise of an exciting dystopian was never put into action. Maybe I'll try to finish it one day, but for now, I get bored just looking at it.

Cover of the Week!

I'm gonna start posting my favorite cover of the week! This week is Divergent by Veronica Roth.  Gosh, I want this book SO bad and I'm hoping to buy it soon!

The Death Cure Cover!

OMG the cover for The Death Cure, the third installment in The Maze Runner Trilogy by James Dashner, has been released!  This just got me excited all over again to read this book!



LOOK AT IT!!! Amazing!  This book is gonna be an awesome ride!  Now I'm guessing this book will center around some body of water?  The ocean?  Interesting, because that would be the complete opposite of the desert setting from the last book...  OMG EXCITEMENT!!

This book is set to be released October 11!  Can't wait!

City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare

My Review:

Good, not great.

Personally, I will think of books 4-6 as Mortal Instruments Series #2. I feel like City of Glass ended with a bang. The characters had defeated the evil Valentine and it looked like each had a partner to rejoice with. Then, Clare plans on writing 3 MORE books, creating a whole new Mr. (or should I say Mrs.) Enemey. So, this will, for me, be the second series of Mortal Instruments.

Now, on to the book. Ok, I LOVE Jace and Clary, as I'm sure a bunch of you do. It's just, come on. This whole book was fight, make up, make out, fight, make up, make out, fight,... you get the point. And I hate the new glum, depressed Jace. He's boring! Bring back the fun, sarcastic Jace! He's much more entertaining! I wanted to read his hilarious little quips, but all I got instead was a character that didn't want to be talked to. Ugh. Boring.

Now Simon I liked. Very intersting to read more about how vampires work for this series. I also loved getting to read about Maia's past and her very juicy ex.

All in all, not a bad book, not great. I will of course finish reading Mortal Instruments Series #2 because I still love Jace and Clary and I have to know how everything turns out.

P.S. Why are Jace and Clary on the cover when the majority of the story is told from Simon's POV??

Eeep! City of Fallen Angles by Cassandra Clare has been released! I'm late to announce this I know >.< BUT I will go buy it soon and post my review!  Until then, I thought we could get into the spirit of things with the Clockwork Prince countdown!

My Review:

Yep it's official! Sara Shepard is the Master of Suspense. Get ready to dive into one heck of a plot twist cause this book was FABULOUS. Definately liked it better than the Pretty Little Liars series, which surprised me because those books are really good. I thought this entire book was better executed then PLL. So anyway, great book. I felt like I really knew Emma and was rooting for her to solve the mystery. Every character was very real and exciting. I loved the murder mystery intrigue. The ending keeps you guessing so I'm super psyched for Never Have I Ever. Sara Shepard has a real winner on her hands with this book! Go buy it right NOW!
